GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary) to join our vibrant secondary client schools community.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary), you will play a crucial role in supporting students and teachers, helping to create a positive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Support: Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
- Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Student Development: Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Resource Preparation: Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary) or in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as a university degree, CACHE or NVQ would be a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience and Empathy: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Certifications: Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
