Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Physiotherapy Specialist to join our dynamic team at Spirit Health Group Limited. This role offers flexible bank hours and an attractive compensation package, along with opportunities for career advancement and a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality respiratory physiotherapy interventions within community-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR) programs.
  • Collaborating with the Clinical Lead to enhance both onsite and digital delivery of evidence-based PR practices.
  • Providing mentorship and supervision to junior staff members and supporting physiotherapy students during their placements.
  • Engaging in research and audit activities to ensure that physiotherapy practices are evidence-based and patient-centered.
  • Maintaining compliance with professional standards and guidelines.

Principal Duties

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assessing, planning, and coordinating all aspects of Pulmonary Rehabilitation across various locations.
  • Conducting face-to-face assessments and treatment programs for patients.
  • Utilizing digital platforms for remote assessments and treatment planning.
  • Implementing innovative home-based treatment plans and conducting risk assessments.
  • Evaluating clinical outcomes and reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitating patient engagement through self-management strategies and health education.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy, with registration on the HCPC Register.
  • Post-registration experience, particularly in managing patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and adherence to clinical governance standards.
