Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Rig Control Systems Engineer to join our Structures Test Team at Airbus. This role is based onsite in Filton, Bristol.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical specialisms in industrial control systems and/or test data acquisition. This will involve a mix of hands-on lab and office-based work, with a focus on delivering structural tests and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our test rigs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and implement control systems and data acquisition solutions to meet the needs of our test programs.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of test programs and the safe operation of our test rigs.
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, manuals, and reports.
  4. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders as required.
  5. Identify and mitigate risks associated with test programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, such as control systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of control systems and data acquisition solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Proficiency in MS Office and G Suite.English language proficiency at negotiation level.

Desirable Skills

Experience in structures, materials, or systems testing would be an advantage. Additionally, experience in managing suppliers or participating in supplier selection would be beneficial.
