Job Title: Test Rig Controls Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Rig Controls Engineer to join our team at Line Up Aviation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical specialisms in industrial control systems and test data acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement industrial control systems for test rigs, ensuring high accuracy and reliability.
  2. Develop and maintain test data acquisition systems, including software and hardware components.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver structural tests, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  4. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including test leaders and customers, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results.
  5. Coordinate with internal and external contributors, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  6. Identify and mitigate risks, as well as capitalize on opportunities, to drive project success.
  7. Participate in test centre SQCDP and weekly team meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
  8. Support the development of training methodology and material to enhance team capabilities.
  9. Conduct risk assessments, ensure Safe Systems of Work, and maintain Health and Safety Compliance.

Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Educated in control systems engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent proven experience.
  2. +5 years of experience in delivering projects to time, cost, and quality.
  3. Proven expertise in industrial control systems (MOOG / MTS) or test data acquisition (HBK / Catman).
  4. Strong understanding of hydraulics, specifically servo-hydraulic control.
  5. Pioneering spirit, open to new ideas and innovation.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work multifunctionally and customer-focused.
  7. Team player with a proven ability to deliver results.
  8. Proficient in MS Office and G Suite.
  9. English language proficiency at negotiation level.

Desirable:

  1. Experience in structures, materials, or systems testing would be an advantage.
  2. Experience in managing suppliers or participating in supplier selection would be an advantage.
