About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Maternity Tobacco Dependency Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of women and families in our community.

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide individualized smoking cessation support to pregnant women and new mothers. This will involve delivering CO monitoring, Nicotine Replacement Therapy, and other evidence-based interventions to help clients achieve their quit goals.

As a key member of our team, you will also be responsible for engaging with local stop smoking services, midwives, and obstetricians to ensure seamless care coordination and referral pathways.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality smoking cessation support to pregnant women and new mothers, using a range of interventions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with local stop smoking services and healthcare providers to ensure effective care coordination and referral pathways.
  • Engage with clients from diverse backgrounds and provide culturally sensitive support to meet their unique needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of smoking cessation programs and services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices.
