Research Associate - Palliative Care

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team at the International Observatory on End of Life Care, Lancaster University. The successful candidate will assist in the evaluation of an intervention to improve communication and continuity of care for cancer patients with palliative needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the running of a trial to evaluate the intervention, focusing on participant recruitment and data collection.
  • Conduct interviews with clinicians, patients, and families to gather insights into their experiences.

The International Observatory on End of Life Care is a leading research centre that conducts high-quality research and provides innovative educational programs to improve palliative and end-of-life care. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a five-year study that aims to adapt an intervention to improve the communication and continuity of care for cancer patients. The successful candidate will work closely with the project leads, Professor Nancy Preston and Professor Sheila Payne, to achieve the project's objectives.
