About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Hydrologist to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our hydrology and hydrogeology team, you will be responsible for delivering water assessments in support of planning applications for wind and electrical transmission projects, as well as hydrogen, solar, and substation development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and developing junior team members
  • Preparing and managing junior staff producing EIA-R and EA water environment assessments
  • Managing the production of Private Water Supply risk assessments
  • Designing and managing surface water and groundwater monitoring programmes
  • Preparing Controlled Activity Regulation authorisation applications
  • Client liaison and project management
  • Liaising with regulators and agreeing scope of works
  • Proposal writing and business development
About You

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in hydrology and experience in delivering water assessments. You will need to have a full current driving licence and be able to work under your own initiative and as part of a team. Experience of mentoring and developing staff is also desirable.
