Electronics Hardware Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our client's R&D team in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing PCBs for robotic systems, collaborating with software engineers and system architects, and performing PCB assembly and testing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PCBs for robotic systems using Altium and Eagle
  • Perform PCB assembly, including soldering and SMD re-work
  • Collaborate with software engineers and system architects to integrate hardware and software
  • Test and validate PCBs at a board level
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with PCB assembly, including soldering and surface mount device (SMD) re-work
  • Strong understanding of PCB design and layout
  • Experience with cable crimping and wiring techniques
  • Experience testing at a board level
Bonus Requirements:
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for electronic components in robotics or industrial systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Experience working in the robotics or automation industry
