Job Title: Compliance and Safety Manager

At ZipRecruiter, we're seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and supporting senior management teams in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the effective implementation of compliance towards safety, risk assessment, advice, and continuous improvement.
  2. Work closely with a third-party consultancy to review audits, analyze information, and perform on-site visits to verify, monitor, and continuously assess performance and safety standards.
  3. Develop and maintain internal quality systems and work within a Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
  4. Audit assessment and defect management.

Requirements:

  1. H&S degree or advanced level Food Hygiene qualification from an accredited governing body.
  2. H&S degree or advanced level qualifications from governing body, for example, NEBOSH.
  3. Experience of maintaining and developing internal quality systems and working within a Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
  4. Audit assessment and defect management.

Desirable:

  1. Operational Hotel background.
  2. Project Management experience.

Key Measures:

  1. Ensure customer health, safety, and risk is delivered through effective communication across all aspects of the project.
  2. Positive engagement and advocacy across all internal departments.
  3. Ongoing analysis of data will be reviewed and summarized in relation to any issues identified, with clear remediation plans and timelines.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail with very high standards of written and spoken English.
  5. Lead the Health & Safety agenda and ensure data is easily accessible and readily available to support any decisions made in relation to each hotel.
  6. Have the confidence and skill to make dynamic, risk-based decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with the commercial acumen and understanding of all business impacts associated with key decisions made.
  7. Have demonstrable experience managing and leading projects; strategic planning and project/change management.
  8. Have a high level of interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate dynamically and effectively across all levels of the organization.
  9. Have a successful track record of forging strong working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
