We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding primary school community in Tower Hamlets. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and Behavior Support Plans to address specific student needs.
- Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Collaborating effectively with the teaching team to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
- Monitoring student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the teaching team as needed.
