About the Role

Grosvenor Hart Homes is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Assistant to join our team in Chester. As a Family Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children, young people, and their families to achieve their goals and improve their life outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with families and young people to understand their needs and develop tailored support plans.
  • Work with statutory services to assess support needs and create bespoke plans to meet those needs.
  • Develop and implement move-in plans to ensure a smooth transition into their new home.
  • Drive the execution of support plans, removing barriers and helping to solve problems.
  • Offer practical and emotional support to individuals and families as needed.
  • Facilitate neighbourhood projects to promote social outcomes and community engagement.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in social work, youth work, health, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children and families, with a sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience of complex case management and delivering to assessment and outcome-based frameworks.
  • Understanding of welfare rights and providing money advice.
