Female Support Care Assistants
Location: Heathfield
Compensation: £15 per hour
Working Hours: Full Time & Part Time Opportunities Available
Are you eager to expand your expertise in brain injury care? Do you aspire to positively impact someone's life? If you have a commitment to growth in support and rehabilitation, consider joining our client's dedicated team to help individuals achieve their fullest potential and enjoy life to the fullest.
The organization offers consistent 1:1 clinical supervision along with 24/7 emergency on-call assistance. With experienced payroll and human resources teams, support workers always have a reliable point of contact for employment and payment inquiries.
Position Overview
The organization is seeking support workers to assist a 19-year-old young woman who has experienced an acquired brain injury.
Currently residing at home with her mother, two brothers, and a variety of pets, the client has access to an annexe on the property where she is developing her independent living skills with the support of her team. An established support team is already in place, including a team leader, and they are looking for additional members to fill available hours, ideally with some flexibility.
Your role will empower the client to engage with the community, maximizing her rehabilitation potential, enhancing her quality of life, and helping her achieve her personal goals. The client participates in regular therapy sessions and enjoys activities such as photography, shopping, visits to coffee shops, and cooking. Additionally, she has a boyfriend and requires assistance in navigating and fostering their relationship.
You will become an integral part of a trusted team, providing support and encouragement through friendly interactions, ensuring she recognizes her progress and appreciates her remarkable skills and qualities. She enjoys light-hearted conversations and laughter.
The client may experience challenges with motivation and initiating activities, so assisting her in engaging with meaningful pursuits and maintaining her schedule is a crucial aspect of the role. She may also encounter anxiety in social situations, requiring a compassionate and patient approach.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a new team dedicated to supporting and guiding the next phase of the client's journey, where each day presents unique experiences.
Shift Patterns
Two-week rolling rota with a mix of the following shifts:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 am – 9 pm
- Tuesday 9 am – 5 pm
- Friday 10 am – Saturday 10 am (sleep-in)

- Sunday 10 am – 6 pm
Qualifications and Skills
- A genuine passion and commitment to the role, with a focus on building a relationship with the client and enhancing her daily living.
- The ability to contribute your strengths and interests to the team.
- Flexibility and availability to cover absences on a bi-weekly rota, including overnight and weekend shifts.
- Previous experience is beneficial; however, candidates with a willingness to learn may also be considered.
- Effective communication skills as part of a collaborative team.
- Enthusiasm for supporting the client's involvement in social, leisure, and rehabilitation activities in various enjoyable settings.
- Assist in achieving the client's specific goals as directed and trained by the therapy team.
