The HSE Recruitment Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide functional health and safety advice, guidance, and coaching to project teams.
- Advise on project compliance with health and safety management systems and statutory provisions.
- Maintain the health and safety competence matrix.
- Deliver health and safety inductions and briefings to project teams.
- Monitor the onboarding process and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Produce, review, and implement construction phase plans.
- Review risk assessments and method statements.
- Support the team in accident and incident investigations and communicate findings.
- Monitor project activities, trade contractors, designers, suppliers, and assist the procurement team.
- Undertake assurance inspections on site.
- Liaise with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, clients, enforcement agencies, and other relevant parties.
- Assist in the development, review, and update of health and safety management systems.
- Support the business in winning work by completing PQQs and tender enquiries.
- Contribute to the development of an injury-free environment.
Essential Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction project or facilities health and safety.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Construction activities – minimum).
- NEBOSH General Certificate (Facilities activities – minimum).
- Experience of working on construction sites (earthwork, pilling, foundation, civil work, viaduct, land contamination, asbestos removal, batching plant, lifting operations, and MEWPS).
Ideal Personality Traits:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with gravitas and ability to influence and lead.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Passionate about health and safety.
