Your Role

As an IT Consultant, you will operate in an international setting, collaborating closely with client leadership teams to identify their primary challenges, develop IT strategies, secure support for your recommendations, and work alongside BCG case team members to convert client potential into high-performance outcomes through impactful projects.

You will implement customized IT strategies, digital platforms, and architectures to harness our clients' digital capabilities using cutting-edge tools such as cloud computing, AI, blockchain, microservices, and containerization. You will be accountable for specific project components, mentoring our clients' technology teams, managing quality and risk, and ensuring client satisfaction. Your role will involve pioneering projects that empower clients to effectively adopt agile methodologies and modern approaches within strategic IT implementations.

You will engage with a variety of technology topics, applying your technical consulting expertise to strategic technology inquiries. You will receive support through a comprehensive training curriculum, including technology-specific training and mentoring to enhance your technical skills. Additionally, you will assist with project proposals, client relations, relationship building with peers, and identifying new business opportunities.

Ultimately, as an IT Consultant, you will contribute to the development of the Practice Area and play a vital role in enhancing the BCG brand as a key member of the case team.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in IT strategy and consulting, professional software development, or IT project management.
  • Prior experience in IT consulting is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Data and Cloud technologies, with experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • IT Modernization; Solution & Enterprise Architecture
    • Banking & Insurance Platforms
    • People, HR, Collaboration Platforms
    • Marketing, Sales & Service Platforms (CRM)
    • Physical & Digital Channels (Including Mobile)
    • ERP (SAP) & Manufacturing Platforms
    • Applied Intelligence, Machine Learning, RPA, Chatbots, Blockchain, IoT
    • DevOps & Bimodal IT
  • A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working creatively and analytically in problem-solving scenarios.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual abilities, strong customer focus, and mental agility with a results-oriented approach.
  • Experience in both legacy environments and modern technology approaches.
  • Proven track record in Agile consulting and advisory roles, with experience in large-scale Digital and Agile transformations.
  • Experience in developing IT organizations and processes.
  • Experience in organizing workshops at peer levels and facilitating client meetings.
  • Strong business acumen; able to contextualize complex problems within appropriate business frameworks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel globally for client engagements.
  • A university degree with above-average academic performance in a STEM-related field or business management.
