We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Director to join our team at ZipRecruiter. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Execute Health and Safety Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive Health and Safety strategy that aligns with our company's goals and objectives.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance Health and Safety performance across all operations.
- Provide Expert Advice: Offer guidance and support to internal stakeholders on Health and Safety matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure Compliance: Oversee and manage third-party contractor Health and Safety performance, ensuring that all contractors meet our Health and Safety standards.
- Develop and Implement Processes: Create and implement processes for monitoring and controlling contractor performance, ensuring that all contractors meet our Health and Safety requirements.
- Support Colleagues: Provide support and guidance to colleagues in meeting Health and Safety requirements, both in office and remote working environments.
- Proactive Leadership: Proactively engage colleagues to deliver Health and Safety compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Escalation Point: Act as an escalation point for Health and Safety issues, providing guidance and support to resolve issues promptly.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain Health and Safety standards, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with our Health and Safety strategy.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze performance metrics to inform areas of focus and drive timely action, ensuring that our Health and Safety performance is continuously improving.
- Senior Health and Safety Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in senior Health and Safety management roles, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management.
- Relevant Qualifications: Relevant degree or professional qualification in Health and Safety, such as a Chartered Member of IOSH.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, aligned with our company's business strategy and goals.
- Effective Influencing: Effective influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop others through coaching and feedback.
- Collaborative Approach: Collaborative approach to working with stakeholders, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
This role offers flexible working arrangements, with a combination of home, office, and limited fieldwork. Limited travel within the UK only.
