CBW Staffing Solutions is on the lookout for a mechanically skilled Maintenance Specialist to join a prestigious historical establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine inspections of mechanical systems while ensuring the upkeep of the building's mechanical services and assisting with electrical maintenance tasks. This role is particularly suited for those currently engaged in a similar capacity. In return, the organization offers a competitive remuneration package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee mechanical systems
  • Manage Pumps, Motors, Seals, and Bearings
  • Handle Air Conditioning systems, including Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units (filter maintenance and cleaning)
  • Conduct Water Treatment procedures (temperature assessments)
  • Maintain general building integrity
  • Supervise specialized subcontractors
  • Perform repairs on HVAC systems and related infrastructure to a high standard.
  • Execute installation, modifications, and repairs on piping systems as required.
  • Complete assigned tasks promptly and professionally.
  • Proactively identify and report faults in building services equipment and take necessary actions to rectify them.
  • Ensure all health and safety concerns are reported and escalated as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with client personnel regarding service levels and issues.
  • Report service-impacting issues to management for formal client communication.
  • Remain adaptable regarding site attendance and tasks within personal competency.
  • Stay informed about relevant health and safety regulations and legislative matters.
Working Schedule:
  • 4 on, 4 off (2 early shifts, 2 late shifts, then repeat)
  • 07:00-17:30 (early), 16:00-02:00 (late)
  • Transportation home provided on late shifts (residency within a specified area required)

Qualifications:
  • Experience in commercial building services
  • Mechanically qualified
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent certification
  • Apprenticeship training preferred but not mandatory
  • Able to work the advertised hours
  • Experience in both landlord and tenant areas of commercial premises is advantageous.
