**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to join our client's team in Bury. As a Senior Financial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the financial stability of the company, providing strategic direction and ensuring the effective management of financial resources.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver robust period-end accounts and annual group statutory accounts with clear audit opinions.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal financial controls, ensuring they are adhered to.
- Set and deliver measured KPIs for financial stability.
- Identify new funding streams for potential mergers and acquisitions.
- Provide sound and technical tax advice, including VAT, corporation, etc.
- Develop the finance function, seeking efficiency and effectiveness in all aspects.
- Deliver single and multi-year budgets, plus accurate in-year reporting of forecasts and budget holder actions.
- Provide technical finance and procurement advice and guidance to the Group.
- Ensure all finance-related regulator returns are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
- Support senior managers/owners in producing documentation in line with the Strategic plan.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Qualified Accountant or Part-Qualified Accountant with several years of experience in a senior position.
- Experience of production and review of financial reporting, i.e., Monthly Management Accounts and Statutory financial statements.
- Experience of providing financial returns in a regulated sector.
- Presentation of financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Writing board papers.
- Multi-year cash flow management.
- Budget setting and 3-year financial planning at organization and departmental level.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Procurement and Payroll guidelines.
