About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join HammondCare, a leading provider of palliative care services, as a Staff Specialist Palliative Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist palliative care services to patients across Southern NSW LHD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist palliative care services to patients, including inpatient, outpatient, and community care.
  • Maintain personal professional competence in palliative care through ongoing education and training.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams and other senior medical staff to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Undertake teaching and research in palliative care as opportunities present.
Selection Criteria
  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) or Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Palliative Care Medicine.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality compassionate medical care, with a strong focus on teamwork and patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams to support and optimize their capacity to deliver services.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and clinical risk management, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.
