About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior European Gas and Power Scheduler to join our team at Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our European Gas and Power Trading entity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activities such as EU Gas Scheduling, Profit and Loss analysis, position reconciliation, and the technical development of operational tools.
  • Ensure daily and/or hourly balancing on all energy market areas.
  • Communicate effectively with commercial teams regarding physical positions, possible curtailments, and any maintenance events.
  • Coordinate communication/work with internal and external parties, including trading desk, counterparties, operations, IT, finance, risk, legal, and other business partners.
  • Onboard and set up new activities, including transportation, NG Swing, or storage contracts, through thorough lifecycle testing.
  • Provide regular reporting on performance and operational risk metrics and develop ad-hoc operational analysis reports.
  • Lead efficiency improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Prior experience with ETRMs (including system configuration), Triple Point (CXL) preferred.
  • Good IT skills (Excel, VBA, SQL, Python).
  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills, any other languages a plus.
  • Demonstrated successful management of projects.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
