Credit Controller

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our team on an interim basis. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing a pool of allocated clients to obtain payment of overdue debt.
Key Responsibilities:- Work under direction from the Credit Control Manager to utilize effective chasing methods for allocated clients.
- Obtain promises to pay and record and chase those promises to ensure timely payment.
- Assist in the monthly production and distribution of client statements to ensure accurate records.
- Compile client copy invoices and send them out to clients in a timely manner.
- Maintain schedules of levels of work carried out to ensure efficient workflow.
- Liaise with the team to establish identity of unallocated cash received and update records accordingly.
- Utilize the management system to update specific records on work carried out to ensure accuracy.
- Answer team telephone calls and deal with calls appropriately to provide excellent customer service.
- Process credit card payments over the telephone as and when required to ensure timely payment.
- Maintain and deal with team joint e-mail correspondence to ensure effective communication.
- Assist in the production, distribution, and logging of credit control chase letters to ensure timely follow-up.
- Making pre-telephone calls to clients to ensure all paperwork has been received prior to debt becoming due to prevent delays.
- Maintain accurate records of client data and all collections activities to ensure compliance.
