Practice Nurse Leader

We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse with proven leadership and clinical skills to join our team at The Riverside Practice.
Job SummaryThis is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership and clinical role where your skills and innovation will make a real difference to our practice. You will be responsible for the development, assessment, and day-to-day running of the nursing team in conjunction with your clinical duties.
Main Duties- Allocate, coordinate, monitor, and assess the work of the nursing team and individuals.
- Ensure that the necessary nurse clinics are appropriately staffed and organized.
- Develop a working environment that promotes healthy, safe, and effective work outcomes.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursing team.
- Lead nursing team meetings and attend monthly meetings with the practice manager and senior receptionist.
- Offer and provide clinical supervision to other members of the practice nursing team and act as a clinical expert, referring to other members of the team or GPs as required.
- Monitor and advise on the effective use of physical and financial resources by the practice nursing team.
- Recruit and select staff to meet the health and well-being needs of the practice population.
- Supervise and assess staff performance and development, performing appraisals with the HR manager/GP as appropriate.
- Mentor, develop, and support the nursing team as required.
The Riverside Practice is based in March, Cambridgeshire, and we have a team of experienced healthcare professionals. We are a learning organization and currently have a trainee GP, a trainee ANP, and a newly qualified nurse starting in September.
