Job Title: Practice Nurse Manager

We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse with proven leadership and clinical skills to join our team at The Riverside Practice.

Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership and clinical role where your skills and innovation will make a real difference to our practice. You will be responsible for the development, assessment, and day-to-day running of the nursing team in conjunction with your clinical duties.

Main Duties
  • Allocate, coordinate, monitor, and assess the work of the nursing team and individuals.
  • Ensure that the necessary nurse clinics are appropriately staffed and organized.
  • Develop a working environment that promotes healthy, safe, and effective work outcomes.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the nursing team.
  • Lead nursing team meetings and attend monthly meetings with the practice manager and senior receptionist.
  • Offer and provide clinical supervision to other members of the practice nursing team and act as a clinical expert, referring to other members of the team or GPs as required.
  • Monitor and advise on the effective use of physical and financial resources by the practice nursing team.
  • Recruit and select staff to meet the health and well-being needs of the practice population.
  • Supervise and assess staff performance and development, performing appraisals with the HR manager/GP as appropriate.
  • Mentor, develop, and support the nursing team as required.
