About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist to join our dynamic Pharmacy Team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. As an Advanced Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our pharmacy services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients and staff, including medication management and advice.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Team to develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of the pharmacy service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Support the Lead Pharmacist in the management of the pharmacy team and the development of pharmacy staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Contribute to the development of the pharmacy budget and manage resources effectively.
Requirements
  • Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent.
  • Current listing on the Pharmacist Register with the GPhC.
  • Diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Significant clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience.
  • Significant experience of working in hospital pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of national guidelines relating to medicines and pharmaceutical practice.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in clinical speciality.
  • Independent prescribing.
  • Specialist training in Clinical Speciality.

We offer a competitive salary of £43,742 to £50,056 per annum, pro rata, and a range of benefits, including relocation assistance up to £10,000. We also offer a supportive and dynamic work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
