Job Overview

This position is ideally structured for a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of office and remote work.

Reporting directly to the Global Tax & Finance Project Lead, this pivotal role is situated within the global finance shared services delivery organization (FSSDO). It is responsible for the seamless coordination and leadership of global Record to Report (R2R) activities and deliverables across all integration and transformation initiatives, representing the global delivery teams.

The responsibilities encompass mergers and acquisitions as well as other strategic projects that have a global impact across all regions and process areas. The individual in this role will ensure that all operational Centre of Excellence (COE) requirements, including Cash Operations, Intercompany, fixed asset management, and payroll, are thoroughly captured during the planning phases of each project, ensuring that all critical milestones and deliverables are achieved.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as the COE and T&FA lead for all disposals, acquisitions, restructuring, integrations, and other strategic project activities, collaborating with the Corporate M&A team, GBS Integration teams, and various business stakeholders. Ensure that operational COE and T&FA requirements are identified and addressed during the planning stages and throughout the lifecycle of each project. Act as the primary coordinator for the global R2R community, ensuring that delivery teams consistently meet the necessary deliverables to support these transformation initiatives. Guarantee that COE and T&FA resource requirements are identified during the planning phases, tracking recruitment and onboarding processes to meet deadlines. Collaborate with leads in R2R, COE, O2C, P2P, Payroll, Tax, and Financial Accounting to support M&A processes, including financial due diligence as required. Provide expert support and guidance to colleagues on complex issues, acting as a subject matter expert and leader within the team. Build and nurture a high-performing team, focusing on recruiting and retaining top talent while planning for effective succession. Actively drive change and continuous improvement within the organization, identifying opportunities for process enhancements with a strong emphasis on customer experience. Partner with the business and Global Process Owners to recognize and implement necessary process changes in response to evolving business needs.

Required Experience:

Extensive experience in complex COE and T&FA operations is essential. Experience in managing BPO delivery from a centralized and outsourced finance shared service function is desirable. Comprehensive understanding of SSC processes and their integration into the broader business environment. Proven experience in a global business context with a solid grasp of global processes and transactional flows. Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and disposals. Strong knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred. Demonstrated ability to drive optimal performance among colleagues, focusing on both technical and interpersonal skill development. Effective planning and prioritization skills to enhance performance metrics. Proven talent management capabilities with successful examples of succession planning and team development.

Qualifications:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
