Facilities Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team in St. Helens. As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and maintaining plants to ensure customer demands are met while adhering to budget targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise internal and contract personnel in accordance with Permit to Work requirements.
  • Support site safety, health, environmental, and quality goals and targets.
  • Act as a senior person on site for plant emergencies and implement site emergency plans as required.
  • Regularly inspect and check operating plant and machinery, diagnosing faults and providing feedback for rectification.

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC level or above) and at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of Permit to Work procedures and current Health, Safety, and Environment legislation.
  • Ability to provide high-quality customer service while working under pressure.
