The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator to ensure the smooth running of administrative processes.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the department, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
- Work closely with the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator to ensure the smooth running of administrative processes, including patient referrals and treatment times.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with health professionals, patients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies and procedures, including compliance with the Data Protection Act.

Person SpecificationEducation & Qualifications- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent experience.
- Experience dealing with customer complaints and customer care.
- Audio typing approximately 50 wpm.
- Knowledge of patient referral to treatment times; experience of monitoring patient pathways.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Proven experience working in a similar role in a hospital/health care setting.
