About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Analyst to join our team at Imperial College London. As a key member of our Sustainability Hub, you will play a critical role in supporting our university's ambition to become a sustainable and net zero carbon institution by 2040.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to inform our sustainability performance and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain our Scope 3 data, ensuring its quality, completeness, and granularity.
  • Prepare annual reporting on our footprint and progress against our goals, using relevant metrics and methodologies.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of our sustainability initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management, decision-makers, and the wider Imperial community.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in sustainability, and develop our analysis and reporting accordingly.
  • Develop expertise in our analysis tools, including the Imperial College Carbon Calculator and internal tools, to support colleagues across the university in reducing our footprint and making our practices more sustainable.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree standard in a technical subject, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis, with a strong approach to unfamiliar analytical challenges.
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and present findings to diverse groups.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
