Pay Rate: £405 - £420 per day

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead key water treatment projects for a Tier 1 contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering and experience working on water treatment or related utility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Oversee the delivery of water treatment projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Ensure smooth communication and coordination among all project partners.
  • Resource Management: Lead a multidisciplinary team (Mechanical, Electrical, Civils) across various water treatment sites, ensuring all activities align with project specifications.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays and issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Reporting: Monitor project progress and deliver regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Cost Control: Manage project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and timely payments.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Project Director, ideally within the water industry or similar infrastructure sectors.
  • Engineering Background: Strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Water Treatment Experience: Experience working on water treatment or related utility projects is highly desirable.
  • Tier 1 Contractor Experience: Previous experience working for or with Tier 1 contractors.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
  • Project Management Tools: Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • NEC Contracts: Experience with NEC contracts.
  • Chartered Status: Chartered status in Engineering or Project Management (e.g., ICE, IMechE, or PMP).
