About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our expanding Pre-construction Team at Dyer & Butler.

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Lead Estimator in calculating the cost of labour, materials, and subcontracts required for construction projects.

We are a leading supplier of infrastructure maintenance, repair, and renewals solutions in the Aviation, Rail, and Civil engineering sector, working for client owners and operators of secure and safety-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on the production of high-quality tender prices within the engineering, construction, and infrastructure markets.
  • Assist the Lead Estimator in identifying labour, materials, and subcontractor requirements on a project-by-project basis.
  • Accurately measure from drawings and understand the implications of a specification.
  • Send out for, receive, and adjudicate supplier/subcontractor quotes.
  • Input the above information onto tender settlement documents and into estimating software.
  • Work with other members of the bid team in the production of bids.
  • Liaise with the line manager to review detail received and agree an approach for estimating.
  • Take responsibility for price submissions, ensuring they comply with submission guidelines and company policies.
