Furniture Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Furniture Project Manager to join our team at Ignite Recruitment Services. As a key member of our furniture team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of furniture on site, managing elements leading up to the installation, and handling follow-up activities post-installation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Installation Phase:
    • Track all orders to ensure timely delivery.
    • Collate and organize information for scheduled install dates.
    • Coordinate with the design team to ensure all drawings are up-to-date and accurate.
    • Work closely with the project team to manage site access and logistics.
    • Compile risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for each project.
  • Installation Phase:
    • Oversee the installation process, ensuring all elements are installed correctly.
    • Conduct thorough checks for any damage or defects in the furniture.
    • Report any snags or issues to suppliers promptly for resolution.
  • Post-Installation Phase:
    • Follow up on any missing items or defects that need addressing.
    • Provide training to the client team on the proper use and maintenance of the furniture.
    • Ensure complete client satisfaction and proper handover of the project.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably within the furniture or interior design industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with logistics, site access planning, and RAMS compilation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in working on-site installations.
  • Knowledge of furniture products and industry standards.
  • Strong client service orientation with the ability to train and support client teams.
