Job Title: Bank Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and progressive Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) / Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

About the Role

Cygnet Lodge Kenton is a female high support inpatient rehabilitation service that provides a care pathway for service users preparing to step down and bridge the gap between hospital stays and community living.

Our service provides a high level of support and uses a recovery-focused model, treating up to 15 women experiencing complex mental illness, helping them re-establish and develop the skills they need to progress over a period of 12-18 months.

We accept referrals from low secure services, acute wards, PICU, and other mental health rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments & observations.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, & improve quality.
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing.
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medicines within healthcare procedure & Healthcare Commission guidelines.
  • A good understanding of the latest nursing practices.
  • A commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage, and reduce risk.
  • Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empower and support service user independence.
  • Experience working with Personality Disorder patients in a PD service.
  • A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a Mental Health setting.
