Research Hub Manager Opportunity

Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled Research Hub Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the on-going publicity, management, planning, and coordination of the Communications Hub.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Hub grant, its budgets, and accounts, and coordinate and distribute financial progress reports as necessary.
  • Engage with sponsors, academic partners, and other stakeholders from industry, academia, and government.
  • Coordinate regular events, such as running calls for proposals, arranging monthly meetings, and managing international workshop logistics and finances.
  • Support the Hub's public engagement and online presence.
  • Maintain proactive management of the Hub's social media presence, including populating portals with calls for seed funding, newsletters, and job adverts.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the group's research web pages and social media output.
  • Monitor budget expenditure to ensure compliance with sponsors' terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual project reports and provide financial advice and support to relevant academic staff and students.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people.
  • Experience with publicity, such as scientific writing or creating web pages, including hosting a social media presence.
  • Experience in managing scientific or industrial projects.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience within the higher education sector.
  • Understanding and experience of research grant funding.
