Job Description:

The Student Support Liaison is the primary point of contact for students, providing comprehensive support and guidance throughout their academic journey. This role plays a critical part in helping students thrive academically, emotionally, and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Support: Provide personalized support to students in areas such as academic progress, personal issues, and career guidance.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for students, responding to enquiries and providing information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student information, including attendance and academic progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with academic and administrative staff to identify and address student concerns, and provide feedback on academic progress.
  • Event Planning: Organize and facilitate events and workshops aimed at promoting student engagement and enhancing the student experience.
  • Reporting: Provide regular and accurate reports to the university and partner universities.
  • Student Engagement: Monitor and track student attendance, academic progress, and behavior, and intervene where necessary.
  • Enrollment and Withdrawal: Manage student enrollment and withdrawal processes through the administration system.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of support services and policies.
  • Quality Service: Ensure continuous delivery of quality service, representing the university in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role within a higher education institution.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, and communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
  • Student Understanding: An understanding of the challenges faced by students in higher education and an ability to provide appropriate support.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • IT Skills: Strong IT skills and knowledge in Microsoft Suites.
  • Commitment: A commitment to upholding the university's values and policies.
