RCK Partners is a consultancy specializing in innovation funding and tax relief. Our impact on the industry has gained recognition from esteemed professionals, including former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Lord Philip Hammond, who now sits on our board of advisors, and numerous Tax Award nominations.

The predominant product remains R&D tax relief, and the team works with businesses from various sectors to identify their qualifying R&D activities, quantify the expenditure incurred, and obtain the R&D Tax Incentives for them. The R&D team is looking to expand with the appointment of a Corporation Tax Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the submission of tax relief claims to HMRC, including SME R&D tax relief, RDEC, and Patent Box, as well as submitting Capital Allowance updates into CT600 returns.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including industry technical specialists, to ensure the quality and accuracy of submissions to HMRC.
  • Prepare and submit amended corporation tax returns and computations to include R&D tax relief, patent box, and capital allowances figures provided by RCK's consulting team.
  • Liaise with clients and accountants to gather required financial information to support submissions.
  • Support internal operations with correspondence to HMRC regarding expected repayments and credits.
  • Provide technical tax computation training to consultants.
  • Assist with document control and delivery process development.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Knowledge of the SME and RDEC scheme and implications on tax computations and returns.
  • Excellent MS Office Skills, particularly MS Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrable ability in adoption and utilization of tax submissions software.
