About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our Civil Structures team in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of complex bridge and civil structures projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of bridge and civil structures projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, including mentoring and training.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and implement project governance processes to ensure effective project management.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet their expectations.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant post-qualification structures design experience, with a strong track record of project delivery.
  • Chartered Membership of the ICE or IStructE.
  • Significant experience with design to Eurocodes and DMRB.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Proficient in structural design and analysis software, such as Autodesk Structural Bridge Design or LUSAS.
