Job Title: Principal DSEAR Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal DSEAR Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Principal DSEAR Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our engineering teams with a vital function on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer, ideally with training in hazardous area determination and risk assessment from a recognised body.
  • Experience of the role of leading DSEAR in design delivery, ideally within the water industry, or a related process industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the application of DSEAR, including risk assessment and area classification in accordance with EN 60079-10 and IP 15.
  • Strong understanding of DSEAR legislation, ATEX directives and CDM
