About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect to join our team at Attest. As a key member of our platform squad, you will play a critical role in empowering our engineers to deliver value with high efficiency, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope out, prioritize, and deliver technical enhancements to our platform infrastructure.
  • Work with other squads to identify and address bottlenecks that hinder our engineers' productivity and efficiency.
  • Design and implement day-to-day tactical improvements, including optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure with Terraform and Pulumi, and maintaining platform documentation.
  • Develop and maintain developer tooling to ensure our engineers have the confidence to use the tools at their disposal.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness, suitability, and cost-effectiveness of our platform and infrastructure, ensuring it scales appropriately as the company grows.
  • Stay up-to-date with key technological developments in the industry and ensure our platform meets compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and support a strong culture of development, ensuring the skills of our platform team and engineers remain relevant and impactful.
Requirements
  • Experience working with Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud networking, ideally for SaaS applications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or CDK.
  • Experience with at least one programming language, such as Golang, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience building and running CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitOps.
  • Experience deploying and managing observability solutions, improving system monitoring and alerting with established tools.
  • Some expertise in security and building secure infrastructure.
  • Confident and thoughtful communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of £80,000 to £95,000.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including EMI share options, career development budget, and wellness allowance.
  • 25 days paid holiday per year, increasing to 26 after 3 years service and 27 after 4 years service.
