About the Opportunity

A rare opportunity to join a leading global renewable energy company in their expansion into the UK market.

The Role
  1. Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for the commercial and technical oversight of renewable energy assets.
  2. Implement best practice asset management in the portfolio, working closely with functional teams across the business to optimize long-term commercial and technical performance.
  3. Establish and refine systems and processes to improve commercial and technical oversight of projects, performance monitoring, and stakeholder reporting.
  4. Manage and create accurate and timely stakeholder reporting, including reporting to investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
  5. Proactively identify value-accruing opportunities on existing assets and present proposals to the Investment Committee.
  6. Owning business plans, budgets, capital projects, and other initiatives on existing assets.
  7. Responsible for ensuring the construction of new solar assets on time and to budget.
  8. Ensure compliance across the portfolio with project contracts, health and safety regulations, and policy.
  9. Contribute to the quarterly valuations process by supporting assumption methodologies and management, as well as informative quarterly reporting.
  10. Work closely with the investment team to provide technical and commercial input into the investment process.
  11. Take directorships for project companies as required.
  12. Monitor and report asset performance and implement strategies for improvement of performance and mitigation of risks.
About the Person
  1. A relevant degree or equivalent financial/technical qualification. A master's degree or higher is beneficial.
  2. Extensive experience in solar asset management and operations in the renewable energy industry.
  3. A passion for health and safety and a good awareness of health and safety legislation and standards.
  4. Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a team, build strong relationships with colleagues and external counterparties across all levels.
  5. Experience of presenting, reporting to, and working with investors and lenders.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Sound data management skills.
  8. Sound working knowledge of project finance and financial reporting.
  9. Solid planning and organizing skills, including effective prioritization and resource management.
  10. Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  11. Proactive and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and a drive for high standards.
  12. Project document and commercial experience to identify and understand risks and mitigants.
