Key Responsibilities

  • Addressing and reporting technical challenges and design discrepancies to the design supervisor.
  • Establishing, executing, and sustaining quality control protocols and procedures.
  • Performing regular site evaluations to verify adherence to quality benchmarks and specifications.
  • Detecting and resolving any quality-related concerns or defects promptly.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers, Site Managers, and Contractors to ensure compliance with quality expectations.
  • Assessing and endorsing construction plans, specifications, and materials for quality assurance purposes.
  • Providing training and guidance to personnel on quality control methodologies and best practices.
  • Compiling and delivering quality reports to upper management.
  • Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Presenting findings and significant issues during Directors' Site Visit Meetings.
  • Supporting Customer Care with intricate post-completion defects.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Quality Manager within the construction sector, ideally in residential building.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NHBC standards and building regulations.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools, particularly Fieldview.
