Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as a Team Lead Physiotherapist in the Adult Critical Care (ACC) clinical group. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality therapy and rehabilitation to patients across ICU's and Cardiac Services.

Main Duties
  • Operational management of the Heart Centre Therapy service and assisting with the operational management of the wider Adult Critical Care workstream.
  • Contribution to strategic planning and development of the Therapy service for the Heart Centre using expert knowledge and skills.
  • Providing specialist support and advice to the Heart Centre Multidisciplinary Team using expert clinical reasoning skills.
  • Maintaining a clinical caseload of highly complex patients as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of evidence-based practice and quality assurance.
  • Leading the development of evidence-based practice in cardiorespiratory care within the Trust.
  • Supervising, initiating, and participating in evidence-based projects and implementing changes within AICU & CICU.
  • Contributing to cardiorespiratory care services development across the Trust.
  • Representing physiotherapy at relevant Critical Care networks within the Trust and the Thames Valley Health Authority.
