Job Summary

Matchtech is seeking a highly skilled Test and Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing test of weapons sub-systems and development test and diagnostics of complex weapons at system and subsystem level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing test of weapons sub-systems, ensuring that all tests are conducted in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of complex weapons systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues related to test equipment and facilities.
  • Support the development and implementation of test specifications and operator instructions to ensure that all test equipment is properly configured and maintained.
  • Act as a technical expert in the development and implementation of test procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Hold a HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualifications or equivalent, plus good level of experience in digital & analogue electronics manufacture and test.
  • Have a strong understanding of the typical CADMID product lifecycle for test equipment.
  • Have a good understanding of Environmental testing (including ESS).
  • Be able to plan and organise own work to ensure multiple tasks can be prioritised and delivered against project objectives.
  • Hold Manual handling training and ESD training.
