Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + Annual Bonus + Benefits
About the Role:
The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team, managing all aspects of production to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all production operations, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and compliance with AS9100D standards.
- Leading a team of 16 staff, managing both production and office support.
- Implementing Lean practices (e.g., 5S, VSM) to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations (COSHH, DSEAR) and other quality standards.
- Managing customer relationships, handling quality, delivery, and specification queries.
- Taking responsibility for procurement, stock control, and supplier management.
- Driving company growth by tracking KPIs and ensuring production capacity meets demand.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree (HND or higher) with a minimum of 3 years' production management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Aerospace & Defence sectors and experience with AS9100D QMS compliance.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining, chemical treatments, and production planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ERP systems.
