Job Title: Paediatric Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and young people with nursing needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver effective care to children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their families are supported.
  • Work collaboratively with the paediatric nursing team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective resource management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each child and young person.
  • Provide education and support to students, paediatric nursery nurses, and healthcare assistants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Act as an advocate for children and young people, promoting their rights and interests.
Requirements:
  • NMC registration
  • Substantial paediatric experience
  • Experience in managing beds and patient flow
  • EPLS/APLS
