About the Role:

Hays Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and organized Financial Operations Assistant to join our client's finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of the purchase ledger and sales ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chase debt from clients and ensure timely payment
  • Post receipts and process expenses in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process purchase invoices and statement reconciliations
  • Liaise with sites to resolve queries and gather information
  • Carry out verbal and written communications with suppliers and customers
  • Support the wider finance team and Finance Managers with general admin and ad hoc duties

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting packages such as Sage 200
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least one year of experience working in a similar role or in a finance team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be self-sufficient, prioritize workload, and be organized
