About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and the day-to-day management and delivery of a larger scale housing project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works.
  • Manage and deliver project works, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external design teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain short-term programs to ensure completion on time.
  • Ensure detailed plans are available to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Appreciate commercial implications and drivers within the construction process and incorporate these into decision-making.
  • Liaise with Contract Manager to ensure project progress and identify financial, specification, and time risks.
Requirements
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and Scaffold inspection qualification.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver projects with some support from visiting Contracts Manager.
  • Hands-on approach, interacting with trades and their supervision.
  • Ability to work on any project secured by the business within a reasonable locality.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
