Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer I to join our team at Safran Landing Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for working on landing gear analysis solutions within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet agreed timelines for engineering analysis deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis
  • Interface with other areas of the business, including Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing
  • Participate in audit reviews and present information as required
  • Participate in product validation
  • Liaise with external suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and other industrial organizations as needed
  • Identify analysis solutions and recommend improvements or suggest alternative methods
  • Review drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Comply with industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Good working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes
  • Good understanding of different engineering functions
  • Working experience within different engineering functions advantageous
  • Experience of working with recognized FEA and fatigue software tools advantageous
  • Experience of static and fatigue structural analysis methods
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working with aerospace materials engineering properties
  • Experience of working to regulatory requirements
  • Experience of working in an IPT environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present information
  • Organized and able to work to strict deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
