Agile Delivery Specialist - General Insurance & Health Data

Salary - £55,000 - £60,000

Are you driven by the desire to facilitate transformation? Do you possess experience in Agile methodologies and can leverage these skills to tackle challenges effectively? Are you an engaging communicator capable of guiding teams and stakeholders towards a path of ongoing enhancement and delivery?

If this resonates with you, we invite you to explore this opportunity. We are on the lookout for an Agile Delivery Specialist to become a part of our General Insurance & Health data engineering team within the Data & Analytics Platform, focusing on driving change for our General Insurance & Health business sector.

This position may be a perfect fit if you have experience in Agile delivery management or as a scrum master and enjoy cultivating positive relationships with stakeholders. You will have the chance to apply your expertise to influence future Agile practices within Data & Analytics and integrate them into the Aviva Agile community.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Agile Delivery Specialist, you will guide the team in embracing and adhering to Agile values, principles, and frameworks; ensuring that the team remains productive by removing obstacles, organizing the backlog, and planning sprints. You will also support the team and Product Owners throughout the IT change lifecycle—from requirements gathering to implementation in Production—while promoting efficiency through a culture of continuous improvement, automation, learning, and transparency.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Foster a positive team culture, manage team dynamics, and encourage an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in delivering IT change swiftly within an Agile setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, honestly, and engagingly with Product Owners, stakeholders, and the Delivery team to build relationships and clarify technical challenges.
  • Self-driven with a commitment to learning and exploring innovative solutions.
  • Understanding of various delivery methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
What We Offer:

Our commitment - with you today, for a better tomorrow - extends to our colleagues as well. One of the ways we uphold this commitment is through investment in your development. We provide a wealth of benefits as an Aviva colleague.
  • Starting salary between £55,000 - £60,000 (based on skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus potential - 10% of annual salary, contingent on performance and Aviva's results.
  • Generous pension scheme, with Aviva contributing up to 14%, depending on your contributions.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days.
  • Enjoy up to 40% discount on Aviva products and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares annually through our Matching Share Plan and share in Aviva's success with our Save As You Earn scheme.
  • Supportive policies including parental and carer's leave.
  • Flexible benefits tailored to your needs, including sustainability options like cycle to work.
  • Make a positive impact by participating in our Aviva Communities and utilize your 3 paid volunteering days to assist others.
