Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Company. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for producing 3 and 5 axis programs for 2D and 3D models, as well as creating 3D model data from 2D drawings where model data is required but not available from the customer.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. CNC Programming: Develop and implement 3 and 5 axis CNC programs with supporting documentation from both 2D drawings and 3D models.
  2. 3D Modelling: Create 3D model data from 2D drawings where model data is required but not available from the customer.
  3. Machining Methods: Plan and program machining methods for components, ensuring optimal cutting and manufacturing times.
  4. Tooling Design: Design and develop tooling and fixtures to aid in the efficient manufacture of precision parts.
  5. Support: Provide technical support to shop floor staff, improving ongoing live work and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  6. Process Improvement: Continuously strive to improve cutting and manufacturing times on previously completed requirements, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
  7. Tender Support: Assist in the tender and bid process by estimating cutting times and advising best practices for manufacturing.
  8. Training: Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the team's expertise and capabilities are up-to-date.
Requirements:
  1. Offline CAD Programming: Proven experience in OFFLINE CAD programming (minimum 3 years) is essential.
  2. Software Proficiency: Experience with Hypermill and Vericut is advantageous; training may be offered for candidates with the right skills and experience.
  3. Complex Parts Programming: Experience in programming complex parts on 5-axis machines is essential.
  4. LEAN Manufacturing: Experience in LEAN manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
  1. Apprentice or similar qualification is essential.
  2. Aerospace Experience: Previous experience in Aerospace and AS9100 is desirable.
