Position: Roofing Maintenance Engineer


5G Recruitment is representing a reputable Facilities Management organization seeking to hire a skilled Roofing Maintenance Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring the upkeep and repair of roofing systems across various client sites.


As a Roofing Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting repairs on various roofing types, including pitched, slate, flat roofs, and leadwork.
  • Performing maintenance, roof renewals, and guttering services.
  • Delivering exceptional fault-fixing and maintenance support across multiple locations.
  • Participating in the out-of-hours service as required.
  • Prioritizing the safety and satisfaction of our clients at all times.


Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, and Plastering.
  • Basic Plumbing and Electrical skills.
  • Experience in General Building Fabric Maintenance, including patch repairs for doors, woodwork, flooring, glazing, and tiling.


Candidate Profile:

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in roofing and maintenance tasks.
  • A proactive and positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.


Essential Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2-3 in Roofing or equivalent certification.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Relevant trade experience is advantageous.


We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in handling a diverse range of roofing repairs in both occupied and vacant properties.
