We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team at AIG, specializing in Financial Institutions. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in helping our customers manage risk and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite financial institution risks in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
- Analyze financial reports and accounts to assess risk and make informed decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to provide excellent service and ensure fair treatment.
- Utilize designated underwriting systems to streamline the underwriting process and track information.
- Exhibit sales-oriented behaviors, including being motivated, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
- Generate new business by expanding broker networks, attending industry events, and building new relationships.
- Meet new business targets and ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management responsibilities.
- Connect underwriters with brokers and provide information on networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven underwriting experience in the London Financial Institutions classes.
- Experience presenting and selling financial institutions to clients.
- Customer-centric approach and strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize work, and meet deadlines.
- Experience analyzing financial statements and enjoying networking and building relationships.
