Your expertise in Agile methodologies will be essential as you gather, analyze, document, and validate prioritized requirements that our engineering teams will implement. You will engage stakeholders constructively, ensuring that requirements are free from errors and omissions.

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with Development, Operations, Testing teams, and business stakeholders to achieve user-centered outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Business Transformation Analyst, you will oversee a team of Business Analysts within one of our core business divisions, driving successful outcomes across various projects and change initiatives. Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring alignment with desired business outcomes and benefits by:
    • Utilizing business modeling techniques to comprehend the business landscape and stakeholder perspectives, establishing how processes, systems, data, and personnel interact and the implications of change.
    • Identifying avenues for enhancing business performance through process engineering and digital transformation opportunities.
    • Collecting and analyzing data to generate insights that facilitate informed decision-making.
    • Employing benefits management techniques to guarantee that benefits are measurable and can be tracked post-delivery.
  • Defining and managing requirements by:
    • Grasping the complete context of the situation or change, using suitable techniques and diagrams to communicate this to project and business stakeholders.
    • Conducting user research to uncover user needs and end-to-end journeys that must be addressed in development.
    • Crafting User Stories that are comprehensible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, incorporating non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria in an appropriate format.
    • Enhancing User Stories with documentation and diagrams as necessary.
    • Refining User Stories through Agile ceremonies and collaboration, using negotiation skills to achieve the desired outcomes.
    • Managing the project backlog of User Stories and collaborating with the Product Owner/Manager to define Features and Epics.
  • Establishing and demonstrating standards for collaboration across all work areas by:
    • Building and nurturing trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Contributing to the growth and development of the Business Analyst Community of Practice by sharing knowledge and expertise.
    • Participating in Agile ceremonies and working with team members to implement recommended improvements.
    • Supporting testers by reviewing test scenarios and scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT/Digital environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Agile delivery setting.
  • Proven experience in leading high-performing teams.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in the utility sector or regulated organizations.
  • Familiarity with application lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience in wireframe creation using relevant tools.
